PUGLIA The region of Puglia in Italian, one of the 20 Italian regions, is located in the southeastern part of Italy. It stretches from the "spur" (Gargano) to the “heel” (Salento) of the Italy “boot”. Of the interesting sights you can find in Apulia are antique architectural buildings called "trulli". These are white buildings made of stone, built into a ring with a conical roof. Developed fishery is characteristic of all the seaside resorts in the region.
SALENTO is a peninsula that lies on the "border" of two seas - the Adriatic and Ionian Sea that meet at the cape of Santa Maria di Leuca. The region of Salento is characteristic for its rich subtropical vegetation and especially favourable climatic conditions. Thanks to its clear sea it is suitable for diving. Worth the travel to this part of Italy.
• Porto Ceasaro - an important fishing town on the western coast of Saletno characteristic with long sandy beaches and low rocky cliffs. The picturesque centre and the beautiful fishery port with restaurants, which offer fish specialities enjoyed also by the inhabitants of local district town Lecce, contribute to an agreeable summer holiday.
• Lido Marini - an attractive seaside holiday resort at the Ionian Sea is situated between the towns of Santa Maria di Leuca and Galliopoli.
• Torre del Orso – this holiday resort lies at one of the most beautiful seas in Italy. Wide beaches with fine sand and a few limestone cliffs are attractive for diving-lovers. Nearby lies Otranto – a town with lively nightlife.
