Giardini Naxos is the most sought after tourist centre with high-quality hotel services and rich history.

It's more than an island! Discover Sicily and discover the world. The world's first multicultural society, Sicily is Italy's (and Europe's) most historically cosmopolitan region, having been ruled by Asians, Africans and Europeans. Sicily is black and white and a million shades of gray. There's no other place on Earth like Sicily. Our island is a unique place full of art, archaeology, history, folklore and breathtaking scenery. And, of course, great food. Sicily is almost a nation unto itself. The enchanting land where Archimedes taught and Saint Paul preached was a Greek colony, a Roman province, an Arab emirate and a Norman kingdom. The Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Swabians, Angevins and Aragonese made Sicily their own, leaving behind an eclectic history that you can still touch today.
The Island of Vulcano The most interesting island from the seven populated Aeolian (Lipari) Islands. According to the legends it was the residence of god Aeolus – Greek god of wind – what made people be scared of this island. As well as all the other Aeolian Islands Vulcano is of volcanic origin. It lies 30 km north from the coast of Sicily. You can find here exotic nature, famous mud lake with healing effects on rheumatism especially, and sought after black beaches with hot water. There is an excellent connection to the other Aeolian Islands from Vulcano.
Vulcano is famous for its hot springs. They are located within easy walking distance from the harbour. If you have your swimming trunks with you, you can just dip in immediately. The water is nice and warm, and it's free to go in. You can also walk up to the crater where you will see many places where smoke comes out of the ground. The smell of sulphur is all around you. You can visit Vulcano as a daytrip from Lipari - or find the accommodation you prefer on the island - from hotel to self-catering apartment.
